Racial profiling is occurring everyday with all ethnic backgrounds and people of all color and sizes. It is not just aimed at individuals who are black. People who come into the United States from other countries are also experiencing the racial profiling.

The problem is that people have been raised to believe that if you were not born in the United States that they are not entitled to be in this country. The problem then brings to light that all people of all colors and backgrounds are not natural citizens.

The number of people who are killed daily along the border are just one example of how racial profiling is changing the country. The number of people who sit within the walls of detention centers and jails due to entering the country without the proper paperwork is another example of how racial profiling is making a difference in the states.

The civil rights of these individuals is what is being violated in this country. The belief is that individuals who are in this country illegally are not entitled to having civil rights however it is their human rights that they are entitled to civil rights.

All people are entitled to having civil rights and to having their rights upheld. In the case where violations are happening, in many cases the individuals believe that there is nothing that they can do about it and therefore they don’t pursue their civil rights to be enforced.

Immigrants and migrants are entitled to having their civil rights upheld just like any natural born citizen in the United States. Civil rights are not just meant to be had by those individuals who had family in slavery but for people of all backgrounds.

The problem is that a lot of people do not know they have these rights and allow for the judicial system to remove their rights or to violate the rights they do have.

In hopes of making the system more equal, more fair and just, advocacy agencies are stepping in to help individuals whose rights have been violated. In a case that occurred in late 2007, Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin know how it feels to have their rights taken from them.

In the middle of the night back in 2007, Michael and Jim were taken from their beds and arrested. The case was later dropped and the two brought a suit against the county in which it occurred in where they were awarded 3.75 million dollars. This lawsuit helped to pave the way for them to start the Larkin & Lacey Frontera Fund.

This fund aids advocacy groups who are affected by civil rights and human rights. Michael and Jim will work to ensure that all individuals are receiving fair and just treatment within the judicial system. They help advocacy groups throughout Arizona and a number of other states as well.
